California sucks ass. When the majority of it is ran by the dems with their "raise taxes" way of producing funds, why do you think the state is broke as a joke. We have a shitty economy but hey let's raise taxes and fines on people that can't afford to pay them. You guys can have that bullshit, is it really worth it to live in Cali?

move to oakland, ca. they keep cutting the police force to save money so you can do a hundo on the freeway in turn for dodgeing bullets and it being to dangerouse to walk down the street at night......

every time i leave my house on foot i have to give something to someone. "hey buddy can i bum a cigarette?" "hey buddy can you spare any change." im like, "i'll give you a dollar. " they're like, "can you give me two dollars?"

all i know is i need to get on the receiving end of something like all the beggers & it can't be one of the new speeding ticket fines.

oh yeah disney land is stupid and it's In and Out with one "n".

Unsafe start? Wut did u do? Sounds like a bogus fine. lol

I just got one for running a stop sign. shits gonna be $214
I ran it by accident cruisin' at 20mph while leaving a junkyard. Didnt eat breakfast that morning and theres some mexican peeps sellin food on the sidewalk and i was checkin out what they had. Distracted me from seeing the stop sign and there was a cop hiding. Dammit.

My dad got one the other day for speeding while at work driving a USPS van. Its gonna be $214 for him too.

On top of all that. cost of the court lettting you take driving school, and the cost of taking traffic school on top of that. arrrgh.

Most of those fines aren't too far out of line with fines here in Canada.

here in Ontario the ones I'm aware of are

driving while uninsured $5000 (up to)

texting/talking on a non-handsfree mobile device $160

Passing a school bus with flashing red signals $5000 (up to)

street racing (AKA driving 50kph or more over the speed limit, purposely breaking traction, looking at a cop the wrong way, etc), car impounded for 7 days, 7 day licence suspension, fine between $2,000 and $10,000, repeat offenders can have their licence suspended for up to 10 years.

speeding 1-16kph over the limit $55

speeding 16-30kph over the limit $110

speeding 30-40kph over the limit $295

etc etc.

the street racing law is what scares me the most since me doing 50kph over the limit isn't exactly rare. I'm not racing, I just like to drive fast ffs.
