I've recently started busting ass on a new career path, and through some good networking I've had job offers flying at me for some fairly well-paying jobs, as soon as I'm done with some training and certifications. I will be back with another x-chassis (or at least some JZ-based platform), but the X8 needs to go for the time being.
I've ostensibly done a good job of getting things working nicely, had Guy redo all the engine and chassis harnesses some months back (POWER SEXY INC. shit). Trunk-mounted battery, new coilpack plugs, etc. It's reliable. The turbos appear to be in solid shape, but going single to get a reliable 400whp is easy as manifolds are cheap and plentiful, and it can be done reliably on SAFC. Fixed oil leak. Engine bay is still dirty, but is a good pressure washing away from being nice and neat.
1JZ w/ stock twin turbos
POWER SEXY INC. harness
HKS FCD
Trunk-mounted battery
Basically complete interior
Sparco Sprint seat
That black three spoke dish wheel that is in every other x8 evar
S9 coilovers (Stance GR+ adapted to fit X8)
S9 swaybar endlinks
Weds SA70 17x9+20. One is grey. Yoko S-Drives in front, Hankook HRII in rear
Beat up JDM Mark II front bumper
3\" exhaust
Welded diff
Not-installed-but-comes-with:
Non-ABS brake lines, will allow removal of all ABS components.
Front struts/brakes/hubs/etc. bullshit combo assemblies dealies.
1-way LSD from Supra
Extra diff housing
Likely makes about 300whp or so as-is.
Issues:
- Wieder had a nice little love tap on some tow-gay run or something. Core support and front of the frame are a bit crunchy, but is still align-able and pretty straight.
- Exhaust does not have catalytic converter, so it won't pass a smog test if you have one. If you don't have to smog test, no issue.
Other than that, shit's alright. New steering rack bushings would be good. If I had good tags, I'd still be driving this thing daily. I'll go over the details with you if you are srs bzns about purchasing.
