The Exploder has always been a direct competitor to the 4Runner and Blazer mainly. Packaging a midsize SUV package with body on frame construction, 2 sped part time transfer case driving all 4 wheels. The Exploder never won any fans with its imaginary offroad prowesness due to its shitty suspension designs. Ford knew this was the case and decided to neuter the Exploder little by little. Today, the current Exploder has a crappy V6 and a V8 thats playing catch up with the competitors V6's. The current model has Independent suspension on all 4 corners to increase cargo and passenger space and also maximizing driver comfort. Since Ford knew it's customers didn't want to lug around the a heavy transfer case and shit.

So then comes the new one.

It's based on the Ford xB.. err, Flex vehicle which I'm sure is based off the Taurus platform. The 11 Exploder was switched over to a FWD setup and AWD was availble but with no multiple speed transfer case. So I was in a gas station outside of denver off the 76 and thats when I seen them. I quickly snapped a few pix of the exterior, took a big gander at the interior and by the time I was going to take a pic, Santa clause chased us away.

I dont understand how they can chase you away... theyre on public property. I mean, honestly, if I would have seen this Explorer, and it was painted like a normal vehicle, I wouldve never given it a second look, because like 9 out of 10 Americans, I dont give a shit about Fords newest mid-size SUV.

Would you like people peeping in your car? If anybody was snooping around in my ride i'd put a bullet in their head let alone chase them off. The car is on public property doesn't mean the car is no longer your property. But you guys down in the south like to do that wife swinging, sister slinging shit anyway so there really is no privacy there anyway har har.

Actually Mo, for most people down here, to address one's wife and their sister separately is redundant. Perhaps I'm sheltered, I leave my shit unlocked all the time, and the X7 stays parked outside the garage unless it's being operated on... mostly unlocked. Anybody want my address btw? I wouldnt walk up to somebodys car and start going through, but if I see something picture worthy, Id take some pictures without expecting any shit-talk exchanged.

That's called not minding your own business and that shit can get you killed in a lot of places. I don't care to be nosey, but when I see a prototype vehicle, I'm all for it. I invite you to come over to Oakland, CA and I want you to start taking pics of every thing you see in every Oldsmobile Cutlass sittin on 28" rims and prove to me you can walk away alive or unscathed.
