hey everyone im Ross and im new to both Cressida's and this forum.


i picked up an '86 about a month ago after being interested in having one for a long time


a little bit about myself: im a pretty young guy who has been into cars for quite some time, started out with BMW's (before i had the chance to mess with cars) then went from there to 240sx's and then to random cars here and there. i have wanted to own and mess around with a cressida for quite some time so i traded a crappy 240 that i owned for an alright cressida (pics after this paragraph) its not in the best of condition, but there is lots of work to come.

here are some pictures of the car (please excuse multiple things on it, i took pictures right after the car came into my possession):




mis-matched wheels have been fixed, i have the front bumper but the skin is giving me a hard time, zip ties are no longer on there


Not so far future plans are: coilovers along with stiffer and adjustable suspension (where available), 1jzgte, basic body maintenance because the body is VERY straight but has a few things that need to be taken care of (ie. faded paint and such)



as for the forum i have looked around a few times and it seems to have a lot of useful information. looking forward to using the site

actually... if you wanna get technical about the whole cressida thing... i saw ameens and thought it was pretty cool (i go to a lot of drift events in text) looked it up and saw there was a big following and thought i would check it out for a while

btw if i came off as douchey, i didnt mean to. ive read a couple threads on here and almost every intro thread is someone being accused of being a ken gushi follower-fag. to be honest i dont really even follow pro drifting at all, im all about grassroots

Oh yeah? I'm at Wells Branch and 35, and work in Hutto. Where's the 240 pics? I'ma tell you right now that if yopur cash ain't right, you got a long road ahead of you that will probably end in frustration and serious financial strain. If you.re serious about this shit and stick around for awhile, I'm down to lend a hand.

eh, showing pics of my last 240 wont be worth it and everyone will say "you wont be able to handle a cressida"

my last 240 was a black S14 that had a CA halfway swapped into it, i picked it up for cheap hoping i could fix it (with almost no cash flow at the time) and it was a nightmare. i basically had to trace and rewire most of the car. now i have good cash flow and this car just needs sometime for me to get things done. i didnt have really any plans for it until i looked on this site and others to find that there IS a bit of aftermarket support for the car. Im very serious about the car and i might take that offer on the help haha
