I was actually thinking about a massive MK3 and MX83 recall in the states for faulty engines when I was reading about this valve spring issue and thought to myself if we get enough complaints, we may win!
1UZ-FE V8 5 speed, Torsen rear diff, solid mounts everywhere, Coilover'd, stainless steel exhaust, and a shit load of FUCK YOU!

Yeah, but that was years ago back in the 90s and they still honored the recall in the early 2000s on all 3VZ-FE engine manufactured between a 91-95 or something like that.
