ok so my tranny doesnt have a speed sensor on it. only wires it has are for the reverse lights. its an r154 and it was bolted to the engine when i got i. my question is what is going to happen if i dont have a speed sensor i have been searching and cant find the answer anywhere. is there a way to bypass this and make the car run fine? will it just spit a code for the speed sensor and run fine? just curious because my trans didnt have one on it when it arrived it has a piece of a speedo cable where they cut it off. thanks for the help in advance

it will throw a code. and you can go over 115mph.

so in order to get the CEL to go off a speed sensor would have to be installed? i guess if it will run fine without it then its not gonna get one.lol

You pull the bulb and since your car is pre-OBDII nobody is the wiser at emissions testing.

yeah thats what im gonna wind up doing. and we dont have emissions here so im good to go with that
