so i went on the hunt last night since phonix tuning keeps blowing my off about sending an invoice for the body side ecu plugs needed for my swap and found the perfect car for plugs. If you need coil pack plugs-alternator plug-ecu plugs or any other plug every plug you need will come from a 94 camry 3.0 v6. the avalons use the same coil pack plugs but only have three of them. i was in the jusk yard for 3 hours searching cars and this is the car that has it all. i got 15 coil plugs and the ecu plugs for 15 bucks which is a shit load cheaper than paying for brand new ones. just thought i would share the info since i couldn't find a straight forward answer for where to get the plugs

the coil pack plugs are similar but not the same. the ones youre looking for are in earlier v6 camrys and there's only one per car. if you want to do something novel, find me knock sensor connectors that match the JZ motor ones smile.gif

easy peazy.

no need to get worked up. it happens. but at least you found a solution instead of cluttering the forum up like most noobs.

i am curious as to why the coil plugs from a 94 wont work they look the same and plug into the 1jz coil packs i havnt actually ran the car with them on the harness yet but they seem to be exactly the same. the coil packs on the 94 look exactly the same also. i was just wondering what the difference is between 1j plugs and the ones i have. im not trying to act a fool sry bout the shit talking.

difference is, 95 and up avalon is better. It's just the construction of the plug where the pins are held. Better shit that doesn't break is new stuff.

i never said they wouldn't work, they just arent the same design. iirc one of the wires in the newer design is a thicker gauge. i also noticed the newer ones tend to break more easily when depinning them
