New forum rules. Whenever we have someone who wants to be unique, we are not allowed to express our opinions. So all the VG and SR guys automatically deserve our respect and we have to cater to their every needs. If they have a question about anything, drop everything that you are doing, answer it immediately and throughly. If you do not have the answer, take time out of your day and research it for them. Be nice, tactful, do not cuss and please compliment their every achievement no matter how small. They are our special guests that will offer nothing to our community focus (JZ + X chassis) but demand so much from us.

But seriously crab/butter/whatever, most people - such as yourself - buy a cressida as a joke, or as an experiment, or just to be different and our age group is mostly well under 25. No one keeps the car much past 6 mons. I don't know how you except such a wealth of wisdom from that sort of demographic. The cressida is a throwaway car for most of the world, and we pick it up as a toy. No one really takes the car that seriously. If they do, they have problems. This is why we don't focus or care much on anything that isn't go-fast or flashy. The Z, regardless of generation, has pedigree and with pedigree comes respect and caring for the chassis as a whole. That sort of attention is only seen in a VERY small percentage of performance oriented Cressida ownership.

Pretty much it works like this; deal with this place or go to TC.net. Otherwise stop being a little bitch.

Brian and I talked about it the day he posted that thread and I knew immediately. I mean seriously, why would we be offended by a person's choice of motor? Just don't come to a JZ + X forum and ask how to change spark plugs on your VG. To show proof that we as a community are open to sick non Cressida projects, take a look at the sweet Infiniti build in the show-off section, or take a look at the mini-van Mitsu's owned by Aphxero and his brother.. etc.

Were not biased when it comes to Cressidas, were just fed up with dreamers and trolls. Go study in the Junior High school of the Cressida community aka TC.net and when you know how to actually cure simple problems like rust and know how to tear apart a Cressida and put it all back together like a bunch of Lego blocks, then come to JZXP and make some beneficial contributions to the forum and we'll be glad to help. But for you to buy a Cressida to do a swap in attempts to piss us off for no obvious reason, then your just trash.

Wow. I've never been responsible for a cross-forum flame war. For that, I am sorry.

I had a motor sitting around with potential. I threw it in the first good RWD candidate I could find. That was my motivation for the swap. I really could give a fuck if you like it or not. The problem stems from what I felt was info being withheld on that basis, or the basis that I'm a newb. Info that I KNOW some of you know.
I did, in fact, go to UTI. I know how to fix shit. I've been a mechanic for 15 years. In that time, I learned that the most important tool I have is the internet. That's why I ask here first instead of spending hours ripping my seats out, breaking fragile plastic parts on an Indiana Jones adventure for a leak I know is there (which I've done already). You need to ask yourselves why a technical forum exists in the first place. If I want to check out egos, I can go on Ziptied, they are much more entertaining there. What difference does it make if I'm just a "flash in the pan" member of the community or someone like Push? On that note, I realized that my car is unsellable, so I might be here for awhile provided I don't get banned.

If this forum was as shitty as you claim it to be in other forums, you would've been banned before this thread was even started.

We are mature enough to laugh at this matter, but you need to bring up your levels of maturity and stop bitching around at other forums and shit. Anyways, I'm one of the newer members of this site and I love this shit! I feel like the JZXP members embraced me with open arms, a beer in one hand and a joint in the other.

Why? Because I followed the application rules and actually had something worth bringing to the table. Also, I'm not a whinny bitch that cries to another forum about getting flammed. We do talk shit, but if you're too much of a pussy to take the heat, stay out of the thunder dome bitch!

Honestly, I'm totally open to having different car or engine projects on JZXP. I like new and different. It'll also help keep things fresh and bring new people. Unfortunately, that means bringing more unworthy people that we have to "test" until they man up or leave.

freakin' Z forums. JZXP is a breath of fresh air after having hung around the Z32 scene for a looong time. pretty much everyone (at least in the TT.net "community") thinks the Z32 is god's gift to sports cars, and if any sort of "flaw from the factory" thread would be met with stubborn opposition. there are pros and cons to EVERY platform. deal with it. i'd like to think the Z31 forum (i haven't been on one of those since 2003) is a little more down-to-earth and realistic about their platforms, since they suffer from our similar situation of a lack of real aftermarket support. the sooner you realize it's an old, aging POS chassis, the better you'll be. but in the meantime, if you want to make the best of it - and not act like it's the best car ever - cool. that's all i really have to say about that.

CL ad from some tool in SATX claiming he has "GTR" wheels on his 300zx. Fine... out of curiosity, I asked him what makes them GTR wheels. He responded, "they r made by nissan obviosly and they were on a 1982 skyline." OK. So I asked if he could take pictures of the back of the wheels where the manifacturer and specs would be and he refused. I responded:

- wheels are 15x8.5 -13. not a size Nissan or Datsun ever produced
- 1982 there was not a GTR trim for the Skyline
- Skylines were 4 lug until r32
- You are an idiot if you bought those believing someone's bullshit, for your sake I hope there is someone even dumber out there or you won't sell them.

No response since. I did verify with a classic wheel forum that those appear to be Centerlines, made in the USA in the late 80's.
