heya my 7mge did blow up in my 89mx83 so i brought a 91 model and swap engine and box over and wiring in 1 go

now the problem i have is the white connector under the dash for the wiring thw 89 model is diff to the 91 model .........

any help on this would be greatly helped as need it done asap

you can do it the old fashion way wire by wire. I think only two plugs are different though. There's a wiring guide in the Private Eyes section.... i believe it shows the difference.

yeah the problem is the white plug for dash .... as my mx83 was speado cable and the 91 model was electonic hence the white plug being different hence why me lost on thast bit of wiring

Use the speed cable from the original transmission or an electronic speed cluster.

Do you have a picture of this plug? I may be able to get schematics for you.

The AUS Cressidas are different than ours. We only had cable speedometers. Only difference between our series 1 and 2 Cressidas are minor cosmetics and the fuse plug by the battery is different. Your better off putting your old harness back on.

I thought it was the New Zealand cars that had digital and the Aussie cars that had cable? I always confuse the two. Although I would like to say that I really dig that band Die Antwoord that you guys have down there...

okay car is running okay the white plug ids the dash plug my original wiring had 10 wires come in and 10 going out the new wiring has 12 in 11 out ......


my problem is i'm still using factory dash wiring some me trying to work out the wire'd from the new harness to wiring into the old harness

we have both cable and electonic speedo's here .......

the 89 model was cable 90 up was electronic ......

but yeah we have minor cosmetic differences in cars here also as i own a glx and so do half my mates .....
