So before I found this forum of course i found tc.net. So i went through there little process of getting in which i think was a little un over the top. But man, they don't seem to care for you guys too much. Is there like a rivalry I don't know about. I mean they have a thread about you guys. I think its kinda stupid. We all love Cress's so whats with the hate?

they have a thread? how did i miss that lol.

They think that Jzxproject is full of elitists, and jzx project is tired of reading about people asking how to set ignition timing and wondering if they have a blown head gasket.

edit: oh, it was the one gorden started wondering why the forum was down for a bit.

"What's that?"

Oh ok gotcha. Yeah it starts out asking about the whole site being down then the bottom says "I hate those" something or other. Just wasn't sure why they would have anything against you guys. Oh well. I like both forums. Thanks for the heads up.

It's ok. If the internet was a real place and TC.net and JZXP had a brawl they'd all be in the hospital.

Really?

I don't really feel there's a rivalry.
u guys know as well as I do that noobs clutter the forum and even pm u msgs with tons of annoying noob questions.

we all could end up at the same meet. u guys made urselves well known in the cressida community. i dont want to know what will happen if this gets to a more personal level.

to bring you up to speed, there are weekly turf wars where members go out in their g'd up rides and mad-dog eachother. if that doesn't settle it it ends in a sudden death stepping competition. gets pretty intense.

I got banned from TC.net a long time ago. I don't think I even did anything other than tell useless noobs applying here to "go back to TC.net" They just hate on us because we do things differently. The thing I can't get over on TC.net is the 20 page threads with 8/10 posts being repeat questions or stupid sack riding comment like "nice wheels" or " what offset are they" when the offset is clearly stated. Basically, we don't put up with idiocy. If you aren't a competent internet user and car enthusiast you won't last here.

Let me put it into perspective.

1. How many threads on JZXP pop up with subjects that have to do with BHG?
2. How many threads on JZXP pop up with subjects that have to do with gurgling dash's?
3. How many threads on JZXP pop up with subjects that have to do with "How hard is it to turbo my 7M?"
4. How many threads on JZXP pop up with subjects that have to do with "Do 10x1 rims fit on my Cress?"
5. How many threads on JZXP pop up with subjects that have to do with "Does anyone know how to do a JZ swap?"
6. How many threads on JZXP pop up with subjects that have to do with "How do you get the tape player to work?"

ETC....

TC.net is a wonderful place for newbies to gather resources about their new-to-them Cressidas. JZXP concentrates mainly on performance for the experienced Cressida noggins. You know, those who know how to take apart their X-chassis and reassemble it without having to bug a forum. JZX is here for us, the ones who are sharing our knowledge and comparing notes to boost our experiences on building a performance oriented Cressida.

Obviously, some of the members on TC.net don't like this kind of exclusiveness in JZXP and hate this forum because they tried to pull that BS of the examples stated above on here and got their ass ripped.

Being new to both forums,

I find both as useful as each other

the TC.net forum is more professional looking etc where as this forum is more young person orientated

I think all car model biased forums have the same thing occur

we had fordforums.com.au and then a bunch of younger more open minded/laid back people got into an argument or some crap with the big wig moderators and they decided to make their own forum called boostedfalcon.net which had mostly E series falcons mostly with turbos and had a very similar user base as this forum with the lack of blocked swearing etc

best to just co exist and let people roam between the 2
eventually finding which style forum they prefer

I see. Well I have noticed that the boards on tc.net are filled with repetitive questions. I can see how that would be very irritating. You guys are more of the advanced level where as they are beginner. Well I'm still pretty new with my cress but I assure you I won't be asking questions like that about it. And I apologize for the engine questions. I just over think everything and I'm becoming quite OCD with my car.

^^^I would be down with co-existing with TC.net , but the cock gobblers banned me for directing people who could legitimately benefit from their site to them. So..... fuck TC.net and their couch.

I'm guess I was lucky enough to find this forum before TC.net. I tried, well actually did join that forum because I'm an information whore. I got booted for not doing anything...literally. Here is the email I received:

Thank you for your request to join the Toyota Cressida forums.

Unfortunately your membership registration at Toyota Cressida Forums was NOT APPROVED as it did not meet our membership signup requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted.

This may have been for one or more of the following reasons...

1. You did not make an introduction post in the "New Members Introductions" section as requested in the sign up proceedures.

Why do we enforce this ?? - This is to ensure that we are not subject to bots and spammers who do not add anything useful to the forum, and simply waste our bandwidth and time and clutter the forum with useless viagra advertisments etc.

2. You did not complete your user profile location with at least your Country as per the sign up proceedures.

Why do we ask this ? - The Toyota Cressida forums are truely global and we have members from just about every Country and Continent in the world. Without knowing where you are from, other members can not accurately respond to any questions or comments you may have as there are many differences to the models throughout the world.

3. Your membership does not meet our forum guidelines.

What was your first post about ??
Did you introduce yourself ?
Did you try and spam us ?
Did you join for the sole purpose to sell your stuff that is not Cressida related ?
Did you explain why you joined this forum ?
Did you use correct spelling and grammar ? - Unfortunately "L33T" or SMS Sp34k is NOT something we appreciate on this forum. Neither is the UsE oF rAnDoM cApItAlS and the like. Don't worry, we understand if English is not your first language, small errors and the like are more than tollerable.

You are welcome to "try again" If you wish to re-apply, correctly completeing the required information, your application will be reviewed again.

If you have any complaints or wish to discuss this further, please feel free to do so by emailing us at admin@toyotacressida.net and we will do our best to assist. We are just an International bunch of like minded Cressida enthusists who want to discuss our cars... nothing more... nothing less..

Sorry,
Toyota Cressida Forums

What was your first post about?? Fuck you, my life is not this forum, I'll post when I'm damn good and ready.
Did you introduce yourself? Go eat a fat babies dick, you don't need to know me, this is the internet.
Did you try and spam us? Click HERE for you FREE bottle of Viagra!!!
Did you join for the sole purpose to sell your stuff that is not Cressida related? Any body need a '93 Camry lug nut? For SALE!
Did you explain why you joined this forum ? Because I fuckin felt like it! does it really matter?

I love this forum, you guys are real, and it doesn't matter what the fuck I say, how I fuckin say it, or when I fuckin say it. TC.net can lick sweaty rhino balls.
