Kinda figured I would find something fucked with it since all the blowoff valve stuff was blocked off, so I got bored at work yesterday and found this

So I pulled every thing off and found more. What I thought would be all oil turned out to be a thin layer of oil on top of water in the compressor side and all oil in the turbine side, plus a little sludge. This is what came out nof both sides.

Both wheels looked good though and I could feel no slop in the shaft forwards to backwards or rotational. Think I'm gonna send it to DM for the upgrade in the next month or so because my perpetual rain cloud wouldn't allow me to just replace the seals and run with it.

What's wrong with the rebuild on my small single? Already ahead of you on the bigish single, but I really wanted to see what it was like factory fresh. I figure the DM rebuild will be closer to that than what I got going and when I'm starting to have fun with that, I'll sell the upgraded ct15b so I can have more fun and start blowing shit up until I get it right.

Were you running 16 psi during that dyno session you posted? I am wondering if DM is calling that 450 at the flywheel or the rear wheels...

14.7~15.3 on the dyno. it drops to around 13.5 at 7500. went to 16 because i accidentally upped the mbc when remounting it.

Bumped this just for you piner!

So someone should call dm and get the lowdown. 450whp or flywheel? Comparable to what type of turbo? Do they port the wastegate?

That's a healthy number for a stockish single. Wonder if they use gt28 or 30 wheels or something. Supposedly dm's twin turbo upgrade is good for around 380whp and usually tt's will lay down a little more power but less torque than a vvti. I guess I don't see how they would get another 70whp more out of a vvti turbo upgrade. 375-400 would sound reasonable.

Dm says they use a 20g compressor wheel. Willing to bet the number is at the crank.

Yeah this sounds like the best bet for more power when you have to deal with german vehicle inspections. Even if its only good for 385 at the wheels I think it would be worth it for the money.

anyone know the turnaround time for the DM ct15b upgrade?

i would contact dm but they are notorious for being ultra slow and hard to contact. good place, just hard to talk to, super busy.
