I recently finished the swap. the 2J is from a JZS147 Aristo. and a R154 from a MA70 supra.

With lots of phone calls between numerous people including Mark (aphxero), the swap was completed in about a week while waiting for some parts from Driftmotion.
Btw, Aaron stocks a lot of parts i had ordered. They are a great go to guy for parts especially 1J and 2J stuff.

I started the teardown of this car last october and gradually began putting shit back together. Ive made numerous trips to Driftmotion to pick up parts to get my car up and running again.

The car is very basic. Suspension is Megan. I am also using Serial nine Diff bushings and subframe spacers. the diff is welded. Motor is stock.

Im waiting for fenders right now. once those come in, i will finish some body work and take it to paint. By the way, the front end will be a cresta. I picked up bumpers and the hood from RIP garage Leo for a good price so i couldnt pass it by.

The car had some rust spots around the front windshield so i took off the windshield, cracked it by accident, and yelled to myself.

While i had the motor out, i grabbed a can of black spray paint and painted the bay so it looks decent. in the sun, its looks like shit though.

Then i started on my interior while i waited for my motor to come.

I prepped the motor with new seals, new waterpump, and other shit. and in went the motor.

I still have some work to do before it sees the road. but it should come out nice for a piece of shit beater car. I dont expect to see this car in one piece for more than a year.

hard to do that right now with them seizing or putting a hold on containers at the moment at the ports.

unless it was shipped to canada and brought down from there?

What Richard said. They are holding containers here and importing at the moment is kind of a bitch. Im looking for other ways to import it down here. If not, i will just keep it there so i have something to drive when i go back. By the way, it is a Mark 2, not a chaser =).

yeah adams, canyons, wherever i can get my hands on. I asked if they would let me do Pro am with it just for fun. They said no. First of all, i would need a cage and i dont want to get one. Secondly, it makes them look bad if pro am drivers kick my ass. hahahahaaha

John, you should get them in asap. they are nice to look at as well. haha i was staring at them when i put them in for like 20 minute admiring how much better they look compared to stock.

Sweet! I just got this same swap done and it is awesome. The stock cams leave something to be desired but I figure some US supra cams should do the trick for a while. JZS147 is probably the best way to get into JZ price-wise and power wise! I bought mine because 1j's were too expensive, haha.

Have fun.

I know right? But to get one that wasn't a70/x81 with good harness and maybe even a 5-speed was $2600-$3500. I got mine shipped for $1700 and got a tranny setup locally for $500.
