So just trying to source all the parts out and well intercooler is important. So i have two Question about the Intercooler size. This will be on a stock 1jzgte from JZX90 going to run 2.5 or so intercooler piping and about 14-15psi of boost on CT12A

Two intercooler one is 32x28x3 and the other is 24x12x3.

1.Which one can i use with A/C?
2. Do i need to remove the bumper support or can i modify my bumper support to fit the intercooler?

Just run the second option (24x12x3), it'll be more than enough running stock turbo's and 1 bar. Matt panic and I both run a smaller intercooler and it's fine. I flipped mine so the inlet/outlet are on the top and it's in between my bumper and core support. Basically mount it so the inlet/outlet are about an inch lower than the headlight bracket so you can run the piping underneath.

I did some measuring yesterday and for some reason if i got any 3 inch intercooler would be pressed against the bumper support.

I ALWAYS buy.. Ebay 240 IC kit. that way you get 24x12x3 ic with either 2.5 or 2.75 or 3" piping of your choice. . ANY decent Tig welder can hack up the included piping and hoses to fit an X8. .

These are under $300 Shipped. .

I got a decent size intercooler, about the same as your second option, and I hacked my bumper support and the hood latch bracket to give me clearance for a thin pusher fan on my ac condenser.

Ps my intercooler was from silicone hoses.com and my piping is eBay 2.5" was like $275 shipped for everything but I'll be upgrading when I go big single.

24x12x3 I got my whole kit for $280 cad to my door off ebay. I sold it for $300 I am going Air to Water there is just fuck all for room on the JZX81 with keeping A/C and not running a million feet of piping .

Air to Water will cool much better and I can run 2 feet of piping instead of 12. Air to water starts at $300

Use the search on here there is a lot of peoples Cressida set ups in my thread I started a while ago

3inch is gay for keeping ac... Better off with a 2.5 or 2.75 thick ic. You'll have to the ic diagonal cuz of that cansiter on passenger side. I'd say fuck ac all together but you'll figured out how to say that all on your own.

get the ebay cxracing piping kit, it comes with your choice of randomized angles and straights. I got a stock evo IX intercooler for free off a buddy and it fit perfect with or without the bumper support. I did take out ac though, i mean really i have 5 windows and washington sure as hell isn't texas.

if you know someone with a bandsaw and tig welder it REALLY doesn't matter what kit you get as long as the pipes are the right diameter.

if you have access to a fab guy/welder, get a whole bunch of 180 bends and a few straights (you really dont need much straight on the x8 unless you're going single). if you're gonna make do with couplers, it depends on how you route it and what diameter.

R34 core is funky because the inlet outlet come out at weird angles making eyeballing your angles a chore.

dude with an inverted setup like 80% of swaps here you would have been done with like 3 45-bends...or 2 45's and a 90. it's literally like a total of 3 ft of piping... total.

something like a 32x12x2.75 would give you the clearance you need with minimal cutting/measuring/length while retaining ac and full bumper support/crash bar thingie

if you still have the 90-degree pipe off the turbo you could do a 90-degree coupler off there right down to the intercooler with a straight pipe. but yea, kinda hard to imagine things without your car in front of you.

Dude just cut an inch or so from ur reinforcement bar. I still got a/c, hoodlatch and running a 3 inch i/c. Order a fe 45s, 90s and some silicone couplers and call it a day. Its aluminum, cutting that shit is like cutting paper...
