wired in a rb20det igniter from a a31 today, plugged it up, loaded a tune up and she started, has a bit of a missfire as i think the male crimp terminals have a few bad connections, but all good as i only did it like that to get a start out of it, need to track down a dead 1jz igniter to make a plug in loom for it coz i want to build this car in a way that everything can be converted back to standard incase of defects/reshell or anything of the like

so this one shall be a good quality build with everything done as perfect as i can be fucked doing it, which is pretty good when i want it to be

hopefully gettin another tune off josh young tonight or tomorrow so ill load that up aswell and see if that makes it better or worse

either way i cant drive the car as i got a few high knock levels on the datalog today but not sure wethere that was the knock sensor detecting the miss it had, meh better be safe than sorry

man, honestly?

Why don't you do something cooler than R32 wheels. Mechanically, your car is heading in the right direction, don't typify aussie style and have a proper built car that looks like shit.. just sayin...

Good sized wheels are cheap enough now, find something in an 18x9.5 ish with +20 offset or so... There's loads of options out there..

And as for paint, your current paint looks fine? Why not spend the money on something like serial nine stuff to improve the functionality of your car, or spend the extra money you were gonna spend on paint on some rad wheels. I think cool wheels and good fitment on stock paint/body > Custom paint with laaaame wheels, by a long shot. Make it happen rudebwoy.

coming from the 80s corolla scene i HATE big wheels, IMO anything bigger than 16-17s ona x8 is too big, but thats just me, and 33 gtr rims arent my cup of tea, bigger wheels do look good dont get me wrong but i just like smaller rims with good offset

as for paint me and my mate whos been panelbeating for 8 years are going to spray it, its easy as, ive sprayed cars before so the painjob is only gonna cost the materials and a few cartons of beer

but yeah its ethier r32 gtr rims OR my mates mum has a uzz30 with a set of 16x8 gulf stich in around a +20 which she doesnt really wanna give up but i think would look hot as so im gonna try get her to give them up

the dis advantage with smaller rims though is ground clearance which is fair gay for daily driving

but the advantage is cheaper tyres also which is good as i do burn through a fair few

apples to oranges.

15s are small but look big on a corolla considering 13's came stock. 15's came stock on a cress and you may think 16 is big, but they arn't. 17s are the standard and 18s are perfect. 16's are meh, unless they are free or super cheap drift wheels..

then its ok just for a while.

I see what you mean with going for smaller(than usual) wheels, I dig that look too...but those r32 wheels dont have much going for them.

16's would be fine if maybe they were actual aftermarket cool wheels with nice offsets and your fitment was proper... like this. just my opinion though....

grill looks good btw

the r32 wheels give it a look i like, just clean and simple with a fair good offset to back them 16x8+30 could maybe even get away with a 20mm bolt on

about the grill, cheers
