so yea i been talking about it. here are the pics. finally had the time to take some pics of the 87-88??? Toyota Supra hardtop Turbo 5spd. Plans? Wheels, coilovers, and no more tickets!!! either a NA VVTi 2J swap W/ W58 or another 7M-GTE later down the line, as the freshly rebuilt engine in there now is going into another supra that the previous owner of this one owns (got it?)

in the mean time trying to save up some monies for some S9 stuff for the cressida and get it track worthy. bushings are all fuzzed on that thing now from daily driving it.

i know you guys have been dying for an update so here it is! (lol ya right). well it's my daily now so i'm stoked

gone are the cool chrome wheels on the rear, replaced by mystery 5 spoke loaners. gonna nab the 17x9 NC-10R's off the cressida so it doesn't look like a hooptie.

so anyways,

after kragen/oreilly gave me the WRONG battery last week, finally got around to finishing up loose ends to start the supra

last weekend i completely re-did the fpr setup and return. this week threw in new batt and fixed some wiring issues and started it up!

old fpr location:

didn't like this location.. tried to reuse the old lines from a previous owner's install but i couldn't mount the sucker anywhere and made getting to it a pita. whatever line was used is rock hard with no slack.

ditched that idea the moment i put it in and replaced much of the lines with new aeroquip aqp ss braided line (this stuff is super flexible and the braid is less abrasive) and aeroquip hose ends. threw in a gauge while i was in there too.

new location and after some new lines and fittings:

engine bay's a mess, but i'm not too concerned with the engine as it's going to a friend of mine. bone stock 7M or a 2J is going in it's place in a few months time

turn key, fuel pressure dead on, started up first try! popped off my ebay special intercooler pipe from boost under free revving (needs a bov and beads on the intercooler pipe...). still needs an exhaust but i'm just happy this thing can move on its own now as that means I CAN FINALLY GET INTO MY FUCKING GARAGE TO WORK ON THE CRESSIDA. this thing has been blocking my driveway for the past few months

the "correct" battery they had listed had the posts on the wrong side (opposite) and was about 1/2" too long. it was rubbing on the radiator and no way the cables would have reached.

i mean it's not a big deal to someone who knows that red goes to red, and black goes to black, but i know people who have reversed them and fried shit because they were given the wrong battery lol.

but i exchanged for a smaller batt instead. started up no prob.

rich - $500? damn lol means i gotta spend money on rear sump setup though... gayyyyy

gonna pick up a bead former for the intercooler pipe ends this weekend so i can get cranking on this.

forgot to post these. this is the pipe that popped off btw. which is why i'm getting the bead former (and for future projects)

in all it's blue gayness!

ps, while moving this thing around, i was reminded once again how the stock 7M throttle linkage setup has the worst pedal feedback ever.
