1990 Cresta JZX81

I bought this car from import concern last september



All caged up



Rear flare work


18x9.5+20 w/20mm spacer


18x12+5


I kinda regret doing the big flares, just too bulky and not sleek enough, plus running anything less than a 9.5+20 looks trashy, i also dont like the way the car drives with huge fit. Feels too square and twitchy.

DMCC 09 RD.1





Had some problems with counter steering where the steering knuckle would hit a dead spot and pass the control arm. Got some new LCA's, boxed them and welded on some knuckle stops. $65 each with bushings and ball joints from partsource.


Tension Rod bushings were also fucked so i decided to make some s14 rods work.

Last week some asshole backed into my car while it was parked at my girlfriend's place. He apparently didnt realize he hit anything and drove off, came back, filled out police forms. Body Shop wants $4500 to repair lol

I hope you got to see the Globemaster take off. I love that rig! I usually get to see one come into Vic once a month, so drool worthy. Especially when the get an unrestricted climb, gain ground effect and pitch up almost vertical... Sorry, this is an X forum. My bad.

Damage was nothing compared to that of the s14, rear tow hook penetrated all. bumper is cracked up a bit and the bumper support is a bit bent, not too bad to repair. just too lazy to do anything about it.

I dont think a saw the "globemaster" but they did land a 747 which was kinda large! sweet air show tho.

Thats some serious bullshit about the front end but keep it Cresta. I love my Mark 2 front and like it way better but I think it looks kinda junked out with the wrong headlights for the car. Looking good out there. Fucking Nissan owners got hate on you and try and take you out for having better taste.

Cresta headlight shouldn't be too hard to find, a trip to yahoo auctions japan revealed quite a few.
