Always looking for ways to improve the handling/precision/stability, and geometry of the X8 chassis, we've developed thes special subframe bushings. When lowering your car, the geometry changes. . When SLAMMING your car. . the geometry changes A LOT. . so much that when you try to align things.. they are too far out of whack, and there is just not enough adjustment. . Well these bushings not only ELMINATE the factory aged slop in the X8 rear end, they help CORRECT the geometry for lowered cars.
SOLID SUBFRAME BUSHINGS/RISERS
I've been running the version 1 ones in my car for like the last event and two months on the road. . And the difference is amazing. . These are a second version of the ones in my car. . The tolerances have been tightened up both on the Body Studs and to the holes in the subframe. . and THEY RAISE UP THE SUBFRAME 10mm for improved geometry and more travel. . Im gonna put them in my car and get the alignment checked to compare the actual difference as far as camber/toe etc. on the rear. .
The pics are pretty hokey. I didn't take any pics with them out cuz they will be Anodized black etc. and i just wanted to show WHAT they do rather than what they look like.. You can see the change though. . just take a look under your car and you'll see right away. . These place the subframe as high as it can practically go without sitting right up against the body. .
The short version is as follows.
-Billet 6061 T6 aluminum Anodized Black
-Gets rid of the slop in the rearend, more direct steering inputs, more predictability at or over the limit, alignment STAYS true under all conditions. (add Bushings or arms for 100% precision)
-Raises the subframe up 10mm for improved geometry and travel Helps get rid of excessive camber and toe, allevieates axles hitting the subframe under full compression.
-VERY TIGHT TOLERANCES TO BOTH THE BODY STUD AND THE SUBFRAME HOLES. . They are NOT press in, but have a zero tolerance fit for absolutely NO movement once installed. * If your car is tweaked or bent in any way you will have to enlarge the holes on the bushings to fit your car.
-ALL support braces and plates fit AS STOCK..
-Easy installation approx. 30min-1 hour depending on your car and your skillz
-They look fucking cool.
-They are SERIALNINE.
Here are some pics. .
This is the REAR UPPER bushing by the swaybar mount. . You can see how little room there is between the subframe and the body. . It actually touches the undercoating in some places around here.

This is the FRONT LOWER bushing..

Closeup of the REAR UPPER GAP.

The following pics are upside down on my test assembly. . dont trip out.
Overall view of the FRONT LOWER part of the subframe. See how close it is to the body.

You can see there IS still a little gap here.

Overall view of the whole subframe mounted up.

This would still be enough gap for the Ebrake cable to pass through and not require re-routing.

**** The tolerances on these are VERY PRECISE, if your car is tweaked or bent in any way you MAY have to ENLARGE the holes in the bushings (drill them out) to fit your car. ****
