it all bolts on, you just will have an additional crease in the jdm fenders the US car doesn't have, and near the top rear of the fenders towards the door (base of the a-pillar) doesn't quite line up.

below is my old cress with a complete kouki chaser front end. the rears of the fenders were too damaged to use, so i just joined the US and JDM fenders together.

i've been saying it for years, but for JDM front ends to really become an easy and popular option someone needs to make fiberglass versions for US cars that will not have the crease or blend the crease as it reaches the door and work with the US a-piller. plus adding some extra fender width to the design for wheel clearance would be nice too (10-30mm).

For my new x8, I don't really plan on doing this again - it was kind of a pain in the ass as far as finding clean panels, getting everything perfect with the fenders and painting it. Also you're kind annoyed all the time knowing that if someone hits it, you're fucked.

Well the JZX81 Body Panels bolt up to a US Cressida
But what about the JZX90 & JZX100?

So you just basically cut the front corner of the fender and mated it to your OEM fender?

youll want to find nose cuts with clean hoods from jzx81. jzx81 bumpers front and rear are an easy sell too.

the jzx81 engines and electronics are useful, however ALL jzx81 are automatic trans from the factory.

jzx90 is useful in a front cut. it has the 5sp trans available. slightly newer electronics and its compatable with marks PFCs.

jzx100 for the vvti engine, single turbo, mmm i want one....

yeah like jason says x90 is great for us it's newer, 5mt, better ecu that dont explode smile.gif

100 stuff its all about drivetrain. The key for all of us is, if you get an engine it needs to have ALL ecu plugs (with pigtails) not just the ones from the engine harness. And of course the engine harness uncut with ALL sensors. And I can't believe no one has mentioned headlights, bumpers and stuff from mx83 jdm version. FOGS baby!

You can see the upper corner near the windshield in this pic where the fender differs most significantly from the US model. Really not a big deal as the pillar is in that gap and would be color matched anyways.

We hammered out the factory body line gradually as it went to the door. It's still there but is fairly subtle. It looks like more of a fender pull/flare as of now - and actually looks kind of good. Hard to see in the pic.

I have front fender cuts too and was going to weld the up to the MX83 fenders...but decided the full JZX fenders were a better option for me on all accounts.

Headlights bolt right on with no fuss.

Get me chrome door handles! sad.gif

Here is the deal... I am completely different from other importers... I dont import engines from suppliers where parts are missing/broke/history unknowwn, "30,000 miles", They are JDM Junk Yards.

I buy cars, GOOD CARS, Fly to Japan (Going back in May/June to load 3 containers) Supervise the dismantling 1st hand, and bring Excellent condition clips and swaps from Cars that I buy. I dont claim that they all have 30k miles, because they dont.... I give truth to the industry... Some people understand and respect it some people dont. The truth of the matter is, For me to run the business the way that I do... It isnt cheap, which means the cost of Pars/Swaps are higher then most other importers (JDM JUNK IMPORTERS). The upside is I get a 0% Return Rate... Search around the forums, google my name... you will see 100% satisfaction!!!

I was recommended to this Forum by Projexxx and I am here to help you guys out!
Let me know what you guys want and the prices that will make you happy (within reason) if I can do it!!! I will!!!

Send all requests to nick@elitejdm.com and be sure to include your JZX Project SN, Your real name and phone number!

I look forward to making your lives easier in the future!!!

used to have a friend on myspace who added me who had done a JZX100 front end on a MX83 cressida. i don't know if he's even on here or on TC but i think he went by the name "Lucky"

if anybody knows who i'm talking about or if he's here, would be nice to know how similar or how much work is needed to do such a conversion...
