I thought i would post this since alot of people have been asking me how they worked out for me since i installed them. Im not a suspension expert or anything, but i am pretty good at driving, so ill try my best to explain.

Had i went from stock shocks and springs to the Serialnines, anyone would obviously say that they are amazing coilovers and better than anything ever. Luckily i had the chance of trying out a previous set of coils before going to the Serialnine units. The Tein HA coilovers i had were decent, yet a bit too soft for my taste. I was very happy at first, but the car did some wierd stuff that i didnt like when applying throttle and transitioning. When drifting, I could still feel the car dive. Not a big concern for someone who drifts their daily driver occasionally, but my cressida is used mainly on the track. The car wasnt too snappy like my previous S13 was, but i knew i couldnt get that type of response because i had a larger car now. I called G at Serialnine and talked to him about how my car was handling and he said he had solution. So a couple of weeks later i got these.

I installed them right away and tested out the car. The way the car drives is a whole lot different.. Super predictable, drives solid, and doesnt dip a huge amount when entering or transitioning.
here are some pics at a local track with 100mph entry speeds

The car was very stable that day and felt amazing.. i had the control back that i once had with my S13!

Compare to the car with tiens at 60mph

What the pics dont explain is how the car felt "wavy" entering at a high rate of speed.

The other concern i had with the teins was the ride height. Here is a picture of them at max low, and the spring drooped down all the way. couldnt possibly go any lower..

I cant stand that look.. my car looks like a stagecoach..

here is a pic of the Serialnines with no droop in the spring and still has the ability to go lower..

Note how happy i am with my suspension.

So bottom line is, im very satisfied with the Serialnines. They are the way to go for an all around coilover setup.

serialnine/stance is obviously the #1 setup for the x8. and it's easy to get your hands on.

i'm stuck with teins, but i'll live until the day i can just reweld the spring collar adjustment lower and get some better inserts. if i keep the car long enough.

just picked up some jics for a decent price but serialnine definately seems to be the best suspension option out there for our x8s.

i've actually talked to tein about re-designing the tein HA set, but due to it's older design, there's not much they can add as far as new features go. an all-new custom coilover setup with their modern features would start from about $5K lol

it's definitely not the lowest as mentioned, and only height adjustable. for an all-track type of driver though, could def use a bump in spring rate 1~2kg. they are 10kg and 8kg out of the box. they work great for me though, since i mostly do grip driving and hardly need to transision quickly
