Well went and picked up and x8 from Toledo, OR today for 300.00 bucks! withh my x7 about to die I wanted to upgrade to a newer chassis. I love my x7 but unless I do crazy build like G it is really not worth it.
This is a 92 withh 169k on it withh a BHG, busted fender, and some rust on the deck lid. The interior in great condition, even still has the factory tape/cd player in good working order. There is a 89 withh clean body and engine in a junkyard down here so I will be swaping everything I need from it over to mine. So instead of wasting money on fixing the 7m in it, I might have a line on a NA 2J and W58 withh bell housing from Unnatural in portland. I got to confirm a few things and check on some parts but hopefully if all goes well, I'll be dropping that engine in and get it running by Aug.
Here are just a few pics from picking it up and getting it to eugene.

This is the 10th time Lucas has helped pick up and tow a car that was busted, and bought for less than 500.00 bucks. I love finding machanic specials. <img src="http://jzxproject.com/bbs/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

oh man what a trip that was. Stuck behind slow RVs on a 2 lane road to the coast... and seriously do small towns not have to money to put up decent signs for directions? Eeverything was "you should have turned there."
Anywhoo it was awesome. Your dad's yukon has a retardedly tight turning radius for its size!

Fun trip to a scary little town to rescue a X8. It was awesome.. especially seeing the skinheads.

Get your cars going and pimp the X8.

That's a pretty nice find. I don't know why people don't like the kouki grill. I like the more openess of it but the thing I did'nt like was the Toyota emblem instead of the cressida one. That's why I took the toyota one off and put the Zenki Cressida one in there instead, It looks so much better. I do have a Zenki grill that I'm selling if you want it, let me know. Again nice find!

So i hit up the junkyard in town today, what does 200.00 bucks at my local yard get me?

A unrusted deck lid, a driver side fender in good condition, rear trim for under the tail lamp, a factory battery tie down, and a Zenki Grill! Oh did I forget to mention the IS300 ECU?

The Hotness

Harness was chopped to holy hell by the yard when the pulled the motor from the IS and all sensors are non existent, damn! :x Well not too much left to do before pulling the motor and getting to work pieceing together the swap. I need to cut the springs so it doesn't look so ugly in front of my place, too high just too high. wheels and tires will come after the engine but I got a set I'm looking at.

They are 18x9 +38 offset, might have to roll the fender just a bit but I don't care. I want these damn things flush!

oh and that is not oil thats just water from when I was pressure washing it on the trailer. It's squeeky clean underneath now. tongue.gif

200 isnt that bad at B&R I guess. Would have been nice to get away withh both fenders, both tail light pieces, etc...

Get the corolla at least movable, and get going withh that.

Also, PM madmike.. He might have some of the manifold stuff you need to get that corolla actually running and driving.

Just a heads up, those A-Tech wheels fit pretty well in a 17x9 +15. 18's should, be awesome too, but the +38 offset can be upgraded to a +15 with only a minor roll.

everyone seems to overlook the usefullness of a good solid BHG....

your engine bay steam cleaned itself! now with just a tiny bit of work you will be able to squirt a nice paint job up in there!
