Not sure this helps, but I just deleted the factory oil warmer and have a trust plate in there with lines that run to my oil cooler. Got sensors in there too. It puts the filter in an easy spot without the oil warmer

^^ What Chris said
I'm rocking an MRP sandwich plate (thermostatic) has 2 ports for sensors with a cooler.  Doesn't help much with relocation question though haha

why do we spend our time and money on shitty cars that cant love us back?

U just looking for easier to change filter? Just put in next to the fuse box on driver side. Easy to plumb a cooler if you got or need one

I hung mine on the frame, ahead of the radiator, then cut a hole in the engine under pan to access it.

if you crash, you're fucked anyways... my oil pressure sensor would kill the engine if oil pressure dropped.

Thanks old man, you actually helped. ;)

You know where oil coolers are located at on Porsche race cars, right ?

Yup, directly in front of the front wheels...

What scares the shit out of me, is where I have the fuel line routed on my Datsun truck....

Around the bottom front of the radiator, to keep it from vapor locking.  :o

This is a vehicle with questionable drum front brakes.

Me neither.

I've seen a blown tire completely take a car out of the running due to an oil cooler being shredded by tire debris.

thats why i keep my cooler in the middle and spaced away from the other coolers. anything in the tire/wheel area is going to get hit and its a common place to crash as well. protect the goods!
