pistons came out pretty fucking clean some how. I got the deal on a fluid that turns carbon to snot.

fyi the adapter only works with is300/late 7m starters, not 5m starters.

Bonus pic. s3 mag guys are my boys so i buy their pedal "cover" set. its pretty legit. texture grips hard when its wet.

 

engine Is in the hole as we speak but I need to do some stuff to make my xspower FFI fit. Its hitting the brake booster. Ill get pics tomorrow more than likely.

I see another JZ that I can out run with a 7M.

Love the shot of new pistons laying on the floor, and you wearing gloves to handle them.

Probably run almost as long as some teenager's first attempt at a 7M rebuild.

 Correction... so far it only doesn't work with the 5m starter... but who the fuck uses a 5m starter?

Why not? The reason I gave them away for free was because I didn't have first hand experience with everyone's setups and couldn't say that they'd fit 100 percent.

Didn't even consider something like a 5M starter... 1j, 2J, and 7M starters clear so far

I was going with the FFIM because I plan on boosting this car at some point and hate the other style intake. so I figured why not go ff now so I wont have to deal with the headache later when I'm worrying about not catching the car on fire.

 

the 5m starter was tried because this engine didn't come with a starter, so wanted to see if it could work.  I got an 2j starter now.

Got the engine in the car bolted down. I'm going with a different intake rout for the time being... once I find a new lower intake.

only non shitty picture I got of the intake hitting the brake booster. The motor was almost all the way forward at that point and still hit. It needs like an inch of clearance to work correctly.

Wow, you almost got the engine bay clean before shoving the new engine in.

 

I would like to see how many sharp edges are in that manifold where the runners join into the plenum.

 

And I have an easy fix on the booster interference, but I won't waste my time sharing seeing the rest of your build quality.

I like to do things half assed, can't you tell?  Hell I said in my intro that I had a honda,  should have been your warning. 

Looks like a blender in the intake. I'll get you a few pics when I think about it.   Its not going on anytime soon so I can get drunk and fix them edges when I feel like it.

I wouldn't buy another Toyota unless I was really considering selling my soul to the devil for enough money to eat Ramen and tuna for 5 years.

Gonna run a filter a bit under the headlight. The intake is a buddy of mine(owns the shop) It was made wayyy back in 01 by another shop if I remember correctly. It was for one of the first turbo is300 in Ga. I'll give it back once I get the other intake squared away. 

 

 

oh btw Gordo here is a picture of the inside of that in intake you asked about. I'll be removing the studs before it goes on the car.

well just have to say doing 2 days a week to tinker on the car isnt enough(imo) but shit with alot of help(and ALOT of money for bullshit) the car has started tonight. I pulled a stance boy and measured the driveshaft wrong and had to get it done 2 times. I swear that bag of dicks i bought wasnt for me!!!

 

but to top of my shittyness I left my phone at the shop and didn't take any good photos/vids(because lets face it, a na2j on open headers isnt anything cool)

 

It moved tho. been like almost a year, but it moved under its own power. just a few feet. made me happy because it didnt blow up. 

 

okay drunk me is done typing. I'll post pics when i get that lsd and do stanceboy drift things?!?
