Hah, I used to dumpster dive for tires with my old car. But now I can find decent new tires so cheap I'm not that worried about it. I've been running 235s with around 30 psi and it grips pretty good on the track. 0 camber and 0 toe, once it's sideways it's gravy, feels like a big heavy boat sometimes.

Sounds like it's the lack of a sway bar that's your main issue then. That disconnected and loose changing feeling is sway bar related

Definitely get a rear sway bar. Even if you don't use a huge one, anything will be an improvement over stock.

While on one hand, a large rear bar will make the rear slip less (helps with low power), it will also make everything more stable and flat in drift (read: consistent). These cars feel like a whale without a good rear sway bar. Mine was almost violent during transitions without one.. Grip can be added back in with wider/better tires and other adjustments. I've seen many very competitive and pro level drift cars with huge rear sway bars.

Alright sounds like a plan.. haven't been into drifting since back when the cool thing to do was run no rear sway lol. Now I guess they're running big bars and softer springs. Think people use those God peed rx7 bars with some success.

Do not buy the Godspeed one. I put one on my old car when it was stock and it bent on both ends from daily driving.

no idea. your setup is very different than like anyones on here. the suggestions ppl have made were for a x8 rear subframe. id assume your MKIV frame has spots for a MKIV rear sway? I don't think any of us know what the differences are between the 2 to make any assessment?

Yes, the front bar from a FC Rx7 will fit but you will need to beef up the mounting points and move them towards the rear.

FWIW I have the godspeed bar and it hasnt bent after half a dozen events, but I know others have had issues.

Do you have heim endlinks or rubber ones? I'll probably try the stock bar but I'm surprised there aren't more aftermarket options for those cars.

I used Moog end links but I don't remember the part number. I worked at a parts store at the time and spent most of a shift looking for what I wanted. Also with the extra strain of the big bar, it broke the link mounting tabs off of the Xcessive rear arms. i had to weld on some beefed up versions and move them outward sightly so that the links would be straight up and down..

Your kidding, right........

It's a Cressida, not a mushtang.

And stock bar is all but useless.

End links for back, one 3/8" male rod end, screwed into one 3/8" female rod end, done!

No, I mean rx7s

Thanks for the pic, I figured maybe some squishy endlinks saved your god peed bar but I guess you just got a good one.

Kit looks good, I like that its not so common and lets you actually drive without scraping all over the place.  Saw discussion on Instagram of color choice.

Is the grille/front bumper fitment good with the Chaser stuff once you get it fully mounted?

Thanks, yeah I've never been a big body kit guy but I think these cars just need em.

Fitment all over is amazing. Especially surprised by the side skirts even on my jacked up car. Headlights and stuff is a little pushed out more than they should be but still lines up pretty good.
