First off I would like to preface this by saying that this likely wont be the most interesting build thread on the site.  It also wont have the most building.  Frankly, I am starting this because it might possibly motivate me get my ass in gear on this thing.

This is how it sits now. Pretty haggard, but I have some plans for the summer since I got a decent paying (for my broke student self) job as a Pyrotechnician. You can see the repairs from when my buddy slid it off the highwayrocking sick modified/custom skirts because the s9 ones were in a billion pieces.

The fucking road I have to drive to get to work is a bitch, so this happened. Which had to be fixed ASAP, which was not a problem because I am using the UVic EcoCar shop (Q-hutdont know why they call it that) whilst they are away on competition. Irony is great.

Shop was great, going to try and get a few other small projects done before the eco-crew gets back in a few weeks. My buddy and I fixed and tucked exhaust and I have no pics because I am just learning to weld and its nothing that will make Gordon jealous to say the leastand also fucked my hand up the other week and still cant grab shit properly, which didnt help.

Also noticed (already knew, but its painfully obvious when its in the air) that I need an alignment. Dont really give a shit about these tires though because I hopefully will be getting some new wheels at some point in the summer and just align after that.

Anyway, thats it for now, going to be hitting the Q-hut again in a few days and doing some more pointless shit and fixes while I wait for parts and such to arrive.

Oh and if anyone gives a fuck, I can post some info in the next update on ghetto fixing the A/C blower, which I have seen a few people on here say is broke on their carswill be a good laugh for you guys and you can tell me how stupid I am.

Next time you are there, with the car on the hoist, lay on your back, and snap a picture of the area from the front crossmember back to the trans mount.

Working on ideas for a bottom front subframe brace, and a shot of the underside would help a bunch.

I can only get mine up in the air as high as my jackstands will go, but not enough to get a picture.

And like fuck, I spent an hour searching google images last night for an X8 under chassis shot, without finding anything.

Haven't done a whole lot recently since one of my buddies bought a beater miata and it needed work...obviously I will spare you the pictures.  Eventually went to the shop only to realise I left my low profile jack at home...

Used this pallet jack because the makeshift wooden lever we tried snapped in half. Did some more welding, which probably sucks, but for my second time ever welding I thought it was alright.

Basically just welding on some little plates because the road into my work is fucking awful. It is a decrepit cement road that has "heritage status" so they can't repave it....but the fuckers won't fork out the money to patch it properly, so it is just a shit-show.

Oh and in honour of the fact that Gordon brings up the fucking Max Headroom thing every damn time, I'm going to paint the valve cover in super gay Honda fanboi Max Headroom style. Anyone know any paint that comes in a variety of colours and will last on the valve cover? Local parts place has red and red when it comes to "valve cover paint"...

If I were to mount this on my car I would  mock it up and get it sitting extacly how and where I want it to sit.I would tape it all into place,drill holes throught the spoiler so I dont crack the spoiler and then rivet it into place.I would then bondo the shit out of it, and mold it to the quarter panels and trunk lid so it looks like a seemless add on.Then I would high build prime it and paint it.

Or you could always just use some panel bond adhesive.

Panel bond is some serious shit because it works well,but is expensive.

3m 2 sided molding tape is an option but i agree with bradlee the fin needs some fine tuning and triming around the tail lights and shit.So if it were me.Yeah I would mock it all up dial everything in so it fits nice around the lights and the lock cylinder and shit then i would rivet it all down and mud it up.Spray fill the shit out of.Block sand the shit out of it.High solid prime it,block sand and then wet sand the shit out of it and paint it.
