TRD 2 way is in and amazing. I haven't heard a noise from it. Super smooth and predictable lockup.

I forgot to mention I used an SW20 MR2 booster to clear the FFIM. Straight bolt in.

Also got a trailer so I can tow to events! Picked it up in rough shape for $700. Sanded down and painted with POR15, sanded the deck and resealed it, greased wheel bearings, fixed wiring, new tires, new lights, and new jack. Now I'm just counting down the days until PARC and hoping it's dry and not a muddy shitshow

Looks good. Have you tried that brake booster yet? Interested to know if it gives the same amount of assistance.

Yeah I've been driving with it for months. It's hard to say but it feels like it has maybe 70% of stock assist. The brakes feel more "direct" and still have plenty of power to lock up if needed

Maybe it's a cultural thing? I mean, we saw the British coming. India, they did not.

I saw a couple people were using the 2UZ Tundra 130A alternator so I decided to give it a shot. I grabbed an 04 Sequoia alt which is a 150A, hairpin stator. Cut one mount down, cut another mount off, change the plug and you're good to go. Night and day difference from the stock alt. Maintains 14V at idle with everything on.

I might go to PARC on the 30th, anyone going?

Got it from B&R auto wrecking for $71. Pulley is the same. Uses a common toyota or honda square alt plug. I slipped it on over the bottom stud and marked the top mount where it needed to be trimmed and cut it down slowly until it aligned with the other pulleys with a straight edge. Apparently hairpin stator alts are a newer design that run cooler and charge better at idle

That's only 10AMPS more than the alternators that come on the vvti engines...

I can load and clamp the JZ, JZ vvti and sequoia alts if you guys are really interested but the sequoia alt is significantly stronger from what I've seen
